Be a gossip free zone – Sticks and stones might break your bones but words will sear your soul. I have been the victim of nasty gossip and the proprietor of even nastier gossip. Twenty years ago I helped spread some very nasty gossip about a woman I worked with. She heard it of course and it hurt her deeply. It is one of the few regrets I have in my life and if I could take it back I would in a heartbeat. But I can’t, words once spoken are etched in our hearts and sear the soul.
