Give your local budding Entrepreneur a helping hand

Greetings:

I bet if you look back throughout your life you will remember people who gave you a helping hand. I know I do. Some of those people are the ones that helped me when I was a budding Entrepreneur selling cookies or raffle tickets to raise money for my school. Other people hired me to babysit or mow their lawn or saved their newspapers and soda cans for me so I could recycle them and make money. All these people contributed to my Entrepreneur spirit.

I felt obliged to do the same when two of my young neighbors came knocking on my door. They were selling pumpkin seeds. They had cleaned out the pumpkin and baked the seeds themselves. Each little plastic bag had about 12 seeds and they were selling them for $2.00 a piece. A tad pricey however I thought it demonstrated that they valued their effort. They explained to me how much work had gone into cleaning the pumpkin and roasting the seeds. I bought five bags from them.

Now you might think I love pumpkin seeds. No not really. In fact after buying them I promptly emptied all of the bags of seeds into my birdbath. I figured the squirrels would enjoy them. I made sure to buy the unsalted variety.

The reason I bought the seeds was to encourage my little Entrepreneur's. I was the first person that had bought any seeds and I could tell they were getting discouraged. After I bought five bags they started selling more. I think it was because their confidence had increased.

Whenever possible help the budding Entrepreneur in your neighborhood. You never know what difference your support will make.

Here's to taking action

Rachelle
