The Five Keys to Success with Action

Greetings:

This is a funny time of year. Many people have forgotten their goals from the first of the year but are feeling a sense of renewal and want to get back on track. Well here are five steps that will help you tap into the power of action and get back on track to reaching your goals.

The Five Keys to Success with Action

1. You need help.

It can be so difficult to do it on your own. Even the Loan Ranger had Tonto. Trust me I use to be the “I can do it myself” kind of gal. I usually got what I went after but at a price. No longer. I now belong to a MasterMind group, have a coach (sometimes more than one at a time) and belong to several on-line success groups. All of this has helped make it possible for me to get what I want faster, easier and with less effort. Don’t go it alone, get help in achieving what you want in life.

2. Accountability is key

I have no idea why but it is true, you are more likely to keep a promise made to someone else than to yourself. If you tell someone else you are going to do something you are ten times more likely to do it than if you just tell yourself. Having someone to be accountable to will increase your chances of success!

3. Do something towards your goal every day

Yes I know every day is a lot, trust me I hear it all the time. But I didn’t design the way life works, I just do my best to leverage it. If you want to be successful you need to do something every day towards your goals and dreams. The good news is it doesn’t have to be major, small steps will get you to where you want to go.

4. Get rid of your excuses

If you are not taking the actions necessary to achieve your goals and dreams, it is time to ask yourself, “What is getting in my way?” Most of the answers you get will be excuses. You are letting excuses steal your goals and dreams away from you. If you really want what you say you want you will figure out a way around the excuses and make it happen. Perhaps the question should be, “How bad do you really want it?”

5. The how is none of your business

Many people get stopped in their tracks because they focus on the “How.” The how is none of your business. What you need to focus on is what you want and why. Once you are crystal clear with the “what” and the “why” the “How” will reveal itself. So relax, the how isn’t your job, you simply need to focus on what it is you want and follow the inspired steps you will be shown.
