Give someone a Compliment

Greetings:

January 28th is National Compliment Day or it might be January 24th. I found conflicting information on the Internet however I figure what does it really matter. You don't need a day to know that compliments are appreciated any day and at anytime. I suggest you make every day compliment day and practice giving compliments to everyone you come in contact with. You can always find something nice to say and when you are focused on finding something nice to say it becomes easier.

I love to give compliments and look for every chance I can find. I compliment strangers on what they are wearing, how helpful they have been and how friendly they are. I don't think it matters as much what you compliment someone on as long as you compliment. As the saying goes, "People won't remember what you say as much as they will remember how you made them feel." If you make it a habit to compliment people you will always be remembered as someone that spreads good feelings and joy wherever they go.

I was in Office Max the other day getting my 365 Days of Coaching Daily Action Success Packs printed. The young man at the print center was so helpful that I couldn't resist giving him a compliment. However I didn't give it directly to him, I gave it to his manager that was sitting at a computer close by. After I told the manager how wonderful the young man was I turned and looked at the young man. He was beaming from ear to ear. People love compliments and they love it even more when others are involved. Anytime you have a chance to compliment someone in public or tell their parents, boss, spouse or friends how wonderful they are do it. It just makes the compliment that much sweeter.

So even if today isn't the "official" compliment day find someone to compliment. It will make both of you feel great.

Jeya thank you. One of the reasons I love to give compliments is because it makes me feel so good! A true Win/Win.
