National Tooth Fairy Day

Greetings:

I just had to let you know that today is National Tooth Fairy Day. I swear I didn't make it up, I read it on this mornings issue of Hungry Girl (one of my favorite e-zines).

I will have to say that I did a tad bit of research, I checked the sight Holiday Insights, and there is some conflict with National Tooth Fairy Day! It seems that there is a dispute over if it is really August 22 or February 28th. Not to mention there is some question over if it is really a "National" Holiday as it does not appear to be registered anywhere. My, even the tooth fairy is controversial!

The Tooth Fairy Day reminded me of a story my sister told me about my nephew and the tooth fairy. When he was little and loosing his teeth he would put them under his pillow at night and the tooth fairy would give him two dollars. (I only got 50 cents for my teeth but I guess even the tooth fairy gets hit by inflation). One evening after he had put a couple teeth under his pillow my sister went into his room and put a couple dollars under his pillow. The next morning my nephew came running into the kitchen so excited because the tooth fairy had left him $10! My sister was shocked! By mistake she had picked up two fives instead of two ones! My nephew was convinced he got a bonus because he had lost more than one tooth at a time!

I was in a Networking group for awhile and one of the gals in the group shared that a dentist she knew would end his introduction with "Only floss the teeth you want to keep." Ha!

So happy Tooth Fairy Day.

Live the Day

Rachelle
