Maybe You Are The
One That Isnt Normal
When
you look at the concept of being normal what you are
referring to is someone that fits into the norm, which
means the majority of people. For some reason, people have a tendency
to look at other people and think they are the ones that are not
normal. However, my guess is that it isnt the other person
that isnt normal. There is a good chance that you are the
one that isnt normal.
Being
normal actually isnt all that you might think. Normal means
that you fit in with the average person. It finally dawned on
me when I was thinking that someone wasnt normal that in
reality I was the one that wasnt normal. After all, they
had a 9 to 5 real job that they hated, watched two to three hours
of TV a day and didnt have a self help book on their shelf.
Yep! That is pretty normal. Someone who doesnt have a real
job, loves what they do for a living, watches little television
and has a library of self help books that they actually
read isnt exactly the most normal person around. You see,
what is normal is just a judgment we make about people that are
not like us. If you look at someone and think they are not normal,
chances are you are the one that isnt in step with the majority
of the world.
The
fact that you read something every day to help you improve your
life isnt normal. Most people tell me they dont have
the time to improve their lives, and especially every day. Then
they complain about how unhappy they are. Yep! That is normal!
Congratulations on not being normal.
I
tried for years to be normal which means I tried to fit in and
be like everyone else. The only thing I ever accomplished was
frustrating myself and amused my friends who knew I didnt
have a chance at being normal. I learned the hard way it is much
more satisfying to just be yourself. I am not saying it is easy
not to fit in, there are advantages to being normal, but living
your dreams, taking risks and being yourself arent any of
them.
