IF IT IS TO BE, IT IS UP TO ME!

I once worked in an office where the manager believed in these words so much that he had a banner made and hung in the office with this message printed in bold letters. A popular song has the line, "No one is going to do it for you, it is up to you."

In the end, we are the ones who have to decide what our lives are going to be about and how we will live them. No one can live our lives for us. We can get support and mentoring, but when it comes right down to it, if it is to be, it is up to us to make it happen.

Coaching

Sometimes, with all the responsibilities, commitments and other people tugging on our time, we can forget who is really in charge. It can feel like life is running us instead of the other way around. This saying, "If it is to be, it is up to me," is a great reminder of who in the end will be making the final decisions.

What do you need to do to take back control and start living your life to be the way you want it to be? Perhaps making a sign for yourself with this saying and putting it someplace you will see it often will support you in remembering that it is up to you to create what you want in your life.
