Don't Confuse Fearless
with Reckless

=============================================
I announced to a friend that I was going to live my life
fearlessly. I was going to take more risk, speak my mind
and seek out new ways to be creative. My friend listened
patiently as I described my plan for living fearlessly and
then commented, "I could never be that reckless."
Living life fearlessly could seem reckless to some, but
it really should not be confused. There is a big difference.
Being fearless, to me, means living an authentic life.
It means stepping out and taking on new opportunities and
not shying away from adventure. It means speaking my mind
and having strong boundaries and standards. Being fearless
to me means living my life on my own terms to the fullest.
Being reckless, on the other hand, means being irresponsible,
taking unnecessary risk and not considering the well being
of others. Reckless is about being self-absorbed and ignoring
the consequences of our actions. Being reckless comes with
a thrill, but it usually is temporary and often ends in
disaster.
Fearless living means different things to different people.
Fearless could mean traveling to exotic places or visiting
an area of your own town where you have never been to before.
Fearless has more to do with an attitude and willingness
to experience life fully.
Coaching
To live a fearless life, one must first decide what that
means personally. It takes on different meanings for different
people. Once we determine what fearless means to us, we
then must challenge ourselves to live up to that standard
each and every day.
