There is No Right Side of the Road

=============================================

When I was in Australia, I had to get used to the fact that they drive on the wrong side of the road. It was very unnerving at first and a few times I thought we were pulling straight into traffic. The amazing thing is we always got to where we were going.

What I learned is that there is no right side of the road. There are many ways to get to the same place. We limit ourselves if we think that there is a right or wrong way and are not open to the many possibilities that life presents.

Coaching

It is difficult to see how much we are our culture until we visit another culture. Because we do not have anything to compare what we do in our culture with, we might begin to think that the way we do things is the only way things can be done. Not true. There are many ways to achieve the same goal and even though our way might work, it doesn't mean it is the only way or even the best way. Being open to new ideas and possibilities allows us to expand our perspective.

How can you expand your perspective today?

Daily Success Formula

No right side of the road = Many ways to get to the same place

Quotes

"A man will be imprisoned in a room with a door that's unlocked and opens inwards; as long as it does not occur to him to pull rather than push." Ludwig Wittgenstein

"If you see in any given situation only what everybody else can see, you can be said to be so much a representative of your culture that you are a victim of it." S. I. Hayakawa
