Life Isn't Convenient

=============================================
I have heard many people, including myself, use the expression,
"Life isn't convenient." And you know what, we
are right. Life isn't convenient. Life happens regardless
of what we are doing. Our schedule doesn't mean anything
in the big scheme of things. Losing a job, having a friend
or relative die, or having to take an unexpected trip is
never convenient. As Margaret Miller said, "Life is
something that happens to you while you're making other
plans." The key is to be able to roll with the punches
and be in the flow of life. If we try to swim upstream,
we are going to get very tired. When life happens, it is
best to experience it and handle it the best we can. What
happens to us in life is never going to be as important
as how we handle what happens to us.
Coaching
I am pretty busy and I don't have time for unexpected challenges,
but life doesn't care what my Daytimer looks like. Life
happens regardless of what we have planned. What I have
found to be best for me is to keep moving forward and deal
with life as it comes. Fighting against life doesn't help
and asking "Why me?" doesn't lead to any answers.
Life just is and the sooner we can come to grips with that
the better.
Are you in the flow of life?

Quotes
"I believe that any man's life will be filled with
constant and unexpected encouragement, if he makes up his
mind to do his level best each day, and as nearly as possible
reaching the high water mark of pure and useful living."
Booker T. Washington
"I said here's the river I want to flow on, here's
the direction I want to go, and put my boat in. I was ready
for the river to take unexpected turns and present obstacles."
Nancy Woodhull
"Life is like arriving late for a movie, having to
figure out what was going on without bothering everybody
with a lot of questions, and then being unexpectedly called
away before you find out how it ends." Joseph Campbell
