and Consistency are Important
I have read many stories about and by successful people
and the one thing that almost all of them say, about how
they obtained success, is that they endured and were consistent.
Enduring has to do with taking what life dishes out and
not giving up. Success can seem so far away like the finish
line of a marathon. What wins a marathon is sticking with
it and being consistent one step after another.
The editor of a Who's Who list interviewed me and asked
what I credited my success to. I replied that I stuck with
it no matter what and did consistently what I needed to
do. There really isn't any secret to success. If we focus
on the goal and stick with it, we will succeed. He agreed
with me and said most people he interviewed responded with
a similar answer.
It can be so difficult to stick with something, especially
when the end is not in sight. Success doesn't come overnight.
Being successful is like running a marathon. What wins a
marathon is endurance, the willingness to do what it takes
and consistent action one step at a time.
There really is no secret to success. You simply have to
stick with it. Unfortunately, most people are not willing
to endure and be consistent. When the going gets tough most
people get going in the opposite direction. Only the tough
are willing to endure and be consistent with their action
no matter what.
Are you willing to endure and be consistent?
