Set An Example

=============================================

One of the most powerful ways to affect the behavior others is to set an example. What we say isn't as important as what we do. People watch what we do and will respond accordingly. We can't tell people to do something that we are not willing to do. When others see that we are willing to do what we ask them to do, they will be more willing to follow our example.

Coaching

"Do as I say and not as I do," doesn't work. People pay attention to what we do and will follow our examples. If you want others to act a certain way, you must first be willing to act that way yourself. You can't expect people to tell you the truth if you are not willing to tell the truth yourself. You can't expect people to treat you with respect if you do not treat them with respect. Do as you say and people will follow your example.

Where do you need to set a better example?

Daily Success Formula

What you say + What you do = Setting a good example

Quotes

"That's all a man can hope for during his lifetime -- to set an example -- and when he is dead, to be an inspiration for history." William McKinley
