Recently I wrote about taking small steps
each day in order to accomplish goals. One of our subscribers
wrote in and said that it was impossible to cross a chasm
with small steps. We would fall in. That sometimes a leap
of faith is required. That is so true.
Although the small steps will move us along
the path, sometimes the only way to get on the path is to
take a leap of faith. Quitting a job, moving to a new city,
or embarking on a new relationship, all take leaps of faith.
Any major change in our life will require that we have a
degree of trust and are willing to move ahead into the unknown.
Coaching
All the major changes that I made, leaving
my job, moving across country, starting my own business,
all took major leaps of faith. The first step was a big
one. It was scary and risky. But the risk of taking the
first step outweighed the risk of staying stuck.
Any major change often will begin with one
big leap of faith. We can do all the research there is to
do, but in the end we will have to trust and jump. Only
then can we take the small consistent steps it takes to
follow our path.
Is there a leap of faith waiting to happen
in your life?

Quotes
"Our fear cancels our faith - but if
we choose to take the risk of faith - we soon learn that
it was our fears that were the real risk! Faith is a choice!"
Dr. Gary V. Carter
"Challenges come so we can grow and
be prepared for things we are not equipped to handle now.
When we face our challenges with faith, prepared to learn,
willing to make changes, and if necessary, to let go, we
are demanding our power be turned on." Iyanla Vanzant
"Faith is not belief without proof,
but trust without reservation." Elton Trueblood
"Faith is not trying to believe something
regardless of the evidence. Faith is daring to do something
regardless of the consequences." Sherwood Eddy |
