=============================================
So often as humans we show up wearing a
mask pretending to be something that we aren't. It can be
difficult to be ourselves. Being ourselves can make us feel
vulnerable. We act as we think we should or how we think
other people want us to act. In reality, it takes a lot
of work pretending to be something that we aren't.
And it can be a lot of work just being who
we are. The work comes in trying to figure out how others
expect you to act. The truth is people do have their own
expectations and thoughts about how we should act. It can
be challenging to have strong boundaries and standards that
say this is who I am and I am willing to risk being me.
Coming as you are is about showing up as
the real you. This requires that you know who you are! This
takes time and courage to be willing to take an honest look
and the willingness to do our own self-work.
Being who we are is a lifetime process.
Learning to be who we are takes time and sometimes can be
messy. We will make mistakes, we will not always be graceful,
and we might say and do things that are not perfect. It
is all about growing into who we are and becoming the real
us.
Coaching
Come as you are the real you. The real you
is the person who lives deep inside you and is waiting to
come to the surface. If we are willing to do the work and
take the time to discover who we are, we can come as we
are anytime and anywhere.
Who are you?
Daily Success Formula
Knowing yourself + Being
willing to be yourself = The real you
Quotes
"A human being is only interesting
if he's in contact with himself. I learned you have to trust
yourself, be what you are, and do what you ought to do the
way you should do it. You have got to discover you, what
you do, and trust it." Barbara Streisand
"Accept yourself as you are. Otherwise
you will never see opportunity. You will not feel free to
move toward it; you will feel you are not deserving."
Maxwell Maltz
"Be yourself. No one can ever tell you
you're doing it wrong." James Hirlihy |
