Everything Will Work Out – It Always Does

I am an optimist. I have always believed that, no matter what, things will work out. And they always have. To quote Kathy Bean, “Everything will be okay.” I have come to learn that it isn’t what happens that counts, but what we think about what happens that matters most. It isn’t how things work out that is important, but what we think about how things work out that count the most. If we think that things will work out just as they should, then the results will be satisfactory no matter what they are.

I have come to realize that most things are simply not that important. In the big scheme of things, there is actually very little that we need to worry about. As my personal mantra and affirmation, I must say at least ten times a day, “Everything with work out. It always does.” I then let go and move on with my life knowing things will work out. This helps me relax and not take things so seriously. Not often are things going to be life threatening. Getting upset over trivial things burns out our adrenal glands and causes us to be less responsible when the things that really do matter happen.

What you believe is more important than what is true. Whatever you believe, you are right, so if you believe that everything will be okay, you are right and, if not, you are also right. The choice is up to you. Learning to trust that things will work out helps us to move into the flow of life and give up the illusion of control. There really is very little that we have control over. There is only so much we can do and then we need to let go and trust.

Coaching Question

Do you believe everything will work out?

Coaching Challenge

Where are you holding on trying to control the outcome? Stop! Do what you can do and then let go. Know that things will work out and that in reality there is little you can do to control the outcome. The good news is that once we are in the flow and give up trying to control everything, many things will work out better than we expected.

Daily Success Formula

Having trust + Doing what you can do + Letting go = Things working out just they way they need to
